A warm welcome to the Terrihut SAC!

Discover the Greina plateau.

Like a gateway to the breathtaking landscape of the Greina plateau, the Terrihut SAC is located at 2’170 m above sea level in the canton of Graubünden. The charming mountain hut of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) is not only an important starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours in the Greina, but also a place where the beauty of nature can be experienced in its purest form. Named after the majestic Piz Terri, the hut offers unforgettable views of the surrounding mountains, including the impressive mountain Tödi. The Terrihut is the perfect place for anyone looking for the magic of the Grisons mountains combined with warm hospitality.

We will be back for you from mid-June 2026 and look forward to your visit!

The winter room is closed throughout the off-season!

After 12 October, there will be no overnight accommodation available at the Terrihut, not even in the winter room!

Construction works are taking place inside the hut! There are no oven, no beds, no electricity and no water.

+++ NEWS. 14 November 2025 +++

The hiking trail to the Terrihut from Val Sumvitg is closed for the winter at an altitude of 1,410 metres above sea level for safety reasons. The bridge has been dismantled.

The road in Val Sumvitg is open. There are no longer any restrictions on access or hiking to the reservoir at Runcahez.

The paths to and from Vrin (Val Lumnezia) remain accessible throughout the winter. Please check the SLF avalanche bulletin if you are planning a tour to the Greina plateau. The winter room at the Terri hut is closed!

THE HUT

After a long time Toni and Doris will be handing over the keys of the hut to new hut wardens this summer.

From July 2025, Verena and Jochen (formerly Medelserhütte SAC) will welcome you to the Terrihut as the new hut wardens!

The Terrihut will be renovated once again this summer according to the plans of architect Gion A. Caminada. Guest operations will continue. Come and visit us!
