WHAT TO BRING and GOOD TO KNOW.

Here you can find out some information for an enjoyable hut stay:

- The Terrihut SAC is open between mid-June and mid-October.

In the online reservation system you can see when there are free places available.

If there is a lot of snow or prolonged rain unexpectedly early in the year, we reserve the right to end the season earlier.

- Please book your sleeping place in advance if you would like to spend the night at the Terrihut. This is the only way we can guarantee you a place to sleep.

All beds are equipped with duvets and pillows.

The use of a thin sleeping bag or liner is obligatory. If you do not bring your own, you must hire one from the hut team (costs CHF 7) or buy one. Please let us know when you arrive.

- Due to the renovation, only 35 beds will be available in 2025 (50 beds from mid-July). From 2026, 93 beds will be available.

There are different sized rooms. We will be happy to show you your bed when you arrive. Whenever possible, we try not to separate groups that are traveling together.

In 2025 it is not yet possible to book special rooms. Room requests will be considered where possible.

- Shoes in various sizes to wear in the hut and on the terrace are available for all guests. You can change your mountain boots for light Crocs in the entrance area on arrival.

- All sanitary facilities are located in the hut. From summer 2026, a new extension is expected to be available for refreshment on warm summer days.

- For all our overnight guests, we serve the evening menu consisting of four courses (soup I salad I main course I dessert) every day at 7pm. Please be at the hut in good time so that other hungry guests and the hut team don’t have to wait.

Are you a vegetarian or do you have an allergy or intolerance? If you let us know when you make your reservation, we will be happy to take this into consideration.

For all those who follow a vegan diet in everyday life, we will refrain from using animal products in the preparation of the evening menu if you let us know in advance.

- We will be happy to prepare a sandwich or packed lunch (sandwich I apple I chocolate sticks) for your hike the next day if you let us know the evening before.

- You can pay in cash (CHF only!) or by card/TWINT. Overnight guests pay on the day of their arrival.

- On the hut terrace you have reception with your mobile phone (swisscom network). If possible, WLAN will be available to all guests from July. We are working on it...

In the hut we provide a limited number of sockets for charging your devices (mobile phone, headlamp, sports watch). Tip: A power bank in your rucksack guarantees that you can charge your batteries safely.

- Guests who are not staying in the hut are also welcome at any time. If you are hungry, we serve hot dishes from the hut kitchen between 11am and 4pm. To quench your hunger and thirst, we offer cakes, various platters for a cosy aperitif or refreshing drinks. Enjoy the alpine panorama on the hut terrace or the cosy parlours inside the hut!

- Dogs are welcome from 2026 (after completion of the construction work as part of the renovation) - but only in consultation with the hut team. The dog must be able to spend the night unaccompanied and should not disturb the other guests.

For reasons of hygiene, we cannot allow dogs to stay in the sleeping and dining areas. Thank you for your understanding.

Please register dogs with us before your arrival. Only one dog at a time can stay in the Terrihut! first comes, first served....

- Do you have spare space in your backpack? We are very pleased if all guests support us with the hut supplies. You are welcome to give us a quick call or send us an e-mail before you start your hike to the hut so that we can tell you what is missing in the stock. Or you surprise us with seasonal vegetables or fresh fruits. Always welcome!

Thank you very much! Engraziel fetg! Merci!
